First-Ever Electrified Corvette Boasts Standard eAWD and Stealth Mode
Carbon Ceramic Brakes Enhance Performance and Handling
The automotive world has been abuzz with anticipation, and now it's official: Chevrolet has unveiled the first-ever electrified Corvette, the E-Ray. This groundbreaking vehicle combines the iconic Corvette's performance legacy with the efficiency and versatility of an electric powertrain.
At the heart of the E-Ray lies a mid-mounted 6.2-liter V8 engine, complemented by a front-mounted electric motor powered by a 1.9-kWh battery pack. This hybrid system produces a combined 655 horsepower and 515 lb-ft of torque, making the E-Ray the most powerful Corvette ever made.
One of the defining features of the Corvette E-Ray is its standard eAWD (electric all-wheel drive) system. This innovative technology provides enhanced traction and handling, allowing drivers to tackle challenging road conditions with confidence. Additionally, the E-Ray's Stealth Mode allows for pure electric driving at speeds up to 45 mph, enabling drivers to enjoy the convenience and efficiency of an electric vehicle without sacrificing the thrilling performance of a Corvette.
